At 5.5%, Figo is a light bodied beer in which the hop character and maximizing aroma contribute to a classic, European style. A beer for those who love a lager that’s thirst-quenching but has a little something extra, Figo is crisp and complex, lush and full of character, with the right balance of flavour and refreshment to keep you coming back for more.

Can from the lcbo. Hazy orange pour, with a medium white head. Lovely floral aroma, cereals, lemon rind, fresh cut grass, light basil. Medium bitterness, floral finish, hoppy, great cereals, grassy, herbacious. Really surprised me.

Lemon, biscuit malt, and grass aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Mildly sweet lemon, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter grass and lemon peel flavor. Okay body.

Second Italian Pilsner of the night (the first one being Boréale Relais Pilsner Italienne). Big spicy nose from the get-go with herbal notes blending things. A very slight unfiltered, golden colour with a frothy white head, good stay and some light lacing spots. The hops in this one gives enough bitterness for the style. The herbal side that Italian Pilsner have comes out eventually, and lingers. A decent Italian Pilsner from Ontario, and I have yet to find this style by a Quebec brewery done better.

A bit of hops and I get some light citrus, none of the pepper notes mentioned though.
