(Bottle 50 cl) Pitch-black with a dense, slightly brownish head. Very dry, no hint of malty sugars here. Extremely bitter. Lacks some softness to be truly great. 151099

A red-brown beer with a nice orange brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of toffee and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of plastic, metal, bread, and caramel - a weird combination.

This schwarzbier poured a black tar colout with a dark tan head. Unfortunatley it froze before i could drink it and when tasted it tasted like soya sauce!

Lovely this beer in 1999 (3.9) but in 2010 this is thin, with vague dark sugars on the nose. Very dark brown. Sweet, kind of candyish. Industrial, maybe even oxidized. There have been a lot of changes in the Berlin beer scene in the past ten years, and they haven’t been good for this beer.
