Draught, one-third pint. It is not a pretty sight, the body content looks like muddy water. The aroma is much more inviting with a discreet smell of berries and late fruits. Juicy malts in flavour with vanilla sweetness partial retarded by bitter spices. Medium bodied (GBBF, 04.08.2009).

Bottled (Beerangel, BB 08/2009). Murky brown-amber color, small beige head. Banana estery nose with rye bready and yeasty notes. Quite watery balate. Light sweet banana flavor with some yeast and bread. Dryish, watery aftertaste. Very simple, sweet dunkelweizen which feels more like a normal hefeweizen.

Draught Mossy-brownish beer with orange highlights under a smaller dark-cream head. Banana and very meaty, nearly cured-meat aroma’s. Still pretty fruity, however; Fruity taste, but less outspoken than the Helles; more meatesters, and more outspoken nutmeg notes, even a bit leafy. Well-filled (yeast) rather than well-bodied. Good, if not outstanding Dunkles Weizen.

Forced draught at the GBBF 2008. Murky brown opaque colour, big head. Very nice aroma of malts, lemons, banana and cloves. Same elements in the flavour, this is the most lemony dunkelweizen I’ve had. Good stuff.

Test vom 26.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,9,9,8,11,9 - 9,25

Bottled. Really hazy nutbrown colour, mediumsized creamy beige head. Aroma is fruity, wheaty, and yeasty with some mild hints of bananas. Flavour is very much the same. A quite pleasant brew.
