Pours a darkish golden yellow with a quickly dissipating head. Nose is typical grassy, earthy with a slight hint of citrus. Nice balance of sweetness and hoppiness but nothing out of the ordinary. Better than most of the upper Bavarian helle but that's not saying much.

Bottle: Almost creamy, stable white head, a bit lacing, golden coloured; traces of herbal hops in the sweet grainy and malty nose (background in the barnyard detectable...); light to medium bodied, first comes a bitter flavour, rounded by some sweet-malty traces; hoppy sweet finish with an rural aftertaste. A well crafted and spicy franconian Helles.........

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Soft malty aroma with hay and distinctive herbal hoppy notes. Moderately bitter flavour with a sweetish edge, light to medium bodied, moderately carbonated mf. Restrained malt-character with herbal hops and a rural touch from the beginning. Aromatic, dry and moderately bitter and hoppy finish. Pleasant, hop-accented, thus a bit uncommon Helles.
