For our 11th anniversary, we added twists of blueberry, lactose, and nitrogenation to a wheat beer. Light refreshing notes of blueberry blend gracefully with fruity and bubblegummy ester from Belgian yeast, subtle coriander, and a hint of lemon peel. Blueberry and coriander is supposed to have a synergy effect to accentuate each flavour. Lactose adds light sweetness and body. Nitrogen creates beautiful pink cascade on purple and creamy texture. Slight tartness and tannin from blueberry makes this beer refreshing.

Poured from the tap to fill the flight. Clear purple red with small pink head. Some lacto, some berry, some creaminess, all very bleh, not going as far as butyric, but not great.

473ml can. Pours a beautiful, hazy magenta with a large, creamy, cascading, pink head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Mild fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, blueberry, lemon and faint Belgian yeast. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, lactose, blueberry and oats in a dry, slightly tart finish. Light to medium body with a creamy, smooth texture and soft carbonation. Not bad, but without the nitro this would have been pretty boring.

473 ml can. Pours a purple/red with full pink head. Aromas of creamy sweetened berries and a bit of earthy blueberries. Flavors of creamy and chalky blueberries plus sugar. OK as a cold summer beverage but not too refined.

Purplish colour. Thick head. Nitrogen can, which is kind of odd, but let's run with it. I mean, there's a lot of butyric to go with those berries. Yeah, it's not as profound on the palate as it is on the nose, but I'm not really going to get past that.
