Double IPA Brewed with White Grape Skins
For this year’s anniversary beer, we found inspiration in the southern hemisphere. This double IPA is brewed with Peacharine and Riwaka hops, along with a special ingredient called Phantasm – an extract from sauvignon blanc grape skins – all sourced from New Zealand. Combined with some good old fashioned Mosaic hops from the US and an amped up grain bill and we’ve got ourselves a unique sensory experience full of dankness and tropical citrusy notes. Coming in at a smooth 9.6% in honor of the year we started: 1996.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Strong and bitter with ripe-ish fruit, malt, orange, grapefruit, hint of alcohol. Firm bittersweet flavour, rather robust. Very nice.

Clear golden colour, medium sized creamy white head; aroma of piney, tangerine, grapefruity, biscuity, grape peeel and marmalade notes; bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with some orange juice notes; lovely beer! Thanks so much for sharing Kapusil!

12oz can at Momokaka, Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a big, lasting frothy white head. The aroma is peachy orange. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a smooth, rich, grainy, big jammy marmalade sweet peachy, dry, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Over medium bodied with average carbonation. Really enjoyed this. Sweet but not sickly sweet.

Can picked up from Craft Beer Shop and consumed at home Thursday 6th June 2024, sat in the garden after a couple of hours spent mowing it. We had a Thomasina Miers Chilli this evening in Tortillas wraps.Hazy appearance and a colour that is edging towards orange/amber with a large white head. Nice wafts from the aroma with citrus and some streaky resinous touches. The citrussy touches come through in the mouth and it's hard to believe that it's so drinkable at nearly 10%, orange zest, pine, there is a maltiness throughout, this is an excellent beer.
