Shrieking Sixties is a Belgian quadrupel matured in American and French red wine barrels for two years. The barrels adds spice and notes of cranberries, blackberries and licorice. The leftover tannins from the wine adds mouthfeel to this robust beer.

Drukket på Lillehøgda. Svart. 0 skum. Aroma av lettrøstet malt & rødvin. Smaken fyldig & innholdsrik. Nøtter, lakris, portvin. Kompleks. God. Alkoholen merkes med en varmende effekt.

Bottle. Black body under a thin beige head, moderate carbonation. Strong aroma of mild roasted malt, dry fruit, red berries, some wood and alcohol. Taste is sweet, mild roasted, dark malt, fruity, red berries, smooth oak, balanced bitterness and a bit sharp alcohol. Balanced body with long lasting, warming aftertaste. Nice, complex, lots of taste. Feels a bit rustic compared with the 40 and 50 versions, but somehow the alcoholic part is driving this beer through some interesting flavors when passing the first few sips and the first impression. Ending quite delicious actually.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter kvae, bark, svarte kirsebær, tobakk og lakris. Fyldig. Smaker salt lakris, mørk sjokolade og noe portvin. Middels lang.
