9/12/2022. Bottle, gifted to me. Poured clear pale golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma is very weak, malty, grain, cardboard, light straw. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and thin body. Watery and fizzy. Not good.

Can. Slightly hoppy and malty aroma. Malty flavor, sweetish with just a hint of hops. Bit skunky, slightly metallic aftertaste.

Bottle 5%ABV (Aldi). Orange with a white head. Cheap corny aroma with some earth and grass. Taste has sweet grain with a touch of metal, a little sourness and indistinct bitterness. Very cold it’s just about drinkable if you don’t pay attention. Cheap supermarket beer is cheap.

500 ml brown PET-bottle, a gift from Germany. Now called "(Traditional) Schloss Premium Pils". It is "Gebraut und abgefüllt in Deutschland" -"Exclusively for Plus" (a German supermarket chain?), "By: HGI Hanseatische Getränke-Industrie GmbH, 22755 Hamburg". ABV is 4.9%. Pale golden colour, large head. Sweetish fruity aroma, not bad. The flavour is rather moderately hopped for a German pils, there is a very moderate sweetness in the background. Not a great pils by any means, but not repulsive either. At least it is "Reinheitsgebot" ... I guess this is pretty much what you can expect from German contract brewed supermarket discount pilseners.

Canned, brewed by Frankenthal Brauhaus. Pale golden, brief airy head. Aroma of carboard, metal and blood. Sweet, raw and mellow. Light-medium body, no hop flavour. Some late harsh resin finishes it off. Utter crap!

(Bottle 50 cl) This pilsner is golden with a rather good head. But extremely - almost numbingly - bitter. Too much of a good thing in my opinion, but apart from that an ok pils. Twist-off cap which is rather unusual for Germany. 040703

Nice grain hops aroma with a good head. Excellent hops flavor with a bitter aftertaste. Not bad for a beer in a plastic bottle.

Blond color. The aroma is ordinary. More characteristic the flavor, quite malty, and a very strong final bitterness.
