Cask at St Albans beer & cider festival 2024, St Albans, Herts. A very dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel, vanilla taste and aroma. Very good rich tasting porter.

Cask at the Harlequin, Sheffield. Pours near-black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee and vanilla. Taste is sweet coffee, hazelnut, vanilla. A bit heavy handed this one. Sweet finish.

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is big milk coffee, chocolate, nutty. Taste is the same, frappuccino. Velvety mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

Pretty clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, a little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, roasted, dark caramel, vanilla notes, some alcohol, a bit of bubble gum. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty start, bitter touch, cocoa powder, quite a bit of coffee, some alcohol, bitter. Aftertaste: dry, malty, grains, hay, coffee bitterness, a bit watery, malty, cow fodder, more roast.
