(bottle) Slightly hazy, dark brown colour with a mid-sized, stable beige head. Aromatic nose of dark and toasted malt with toffee and a faint fruity touch. Initially sweet and moderately toasted malty taste with toffee and caramel; medium to light bodied, smooth an creamy textured mouthfeel, medium-dry, moderately malty, slightly bitter and shy hoppy, but most of all quite slim and short finish. Quaffable brew.

Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, small, quite stable head; sweet-malty and fruity (ripe fruit) nose with a tinge of toasted malt; medium bodied, sweetish flavour supported by a faint bitterness; chocolatey bitterness in the a bit drier dark-malty finish. Pleasant, well rounded............

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear dark brown beer with a smal head bordering beige in colour. Aroma of roasted malt and overripe fruit. Fairly full-bodied with lots of roasted malt and notes of caramel and rye bread. Dry, lightly hoppy finish. Pleasant and very classical Dunkel. 220106

The aroma is sweet, malty and slightly roasted. The color is a clear dark brown and it has a beutiful but disappearing head. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, wort, and a little licorice. The mouthfeel is creamy.

Roasted coffeeish nose with some bittering hops. Dark chestnut, brown creamy head with lace. Taste has a nice roastiness to it, not overly strong though - balance is good. Medium body - quick finish and some dustyness when exhaling. The particular bottle I had was a swing-top version with a different label ("privat")and claimed to be a Naturtrübes Kellerbier - I never saw any yeast though and cannot confirm that. According to the homepage og the brewery they have done the same stunt for several of the beers in their normal product line, this will probably cause some confusion.
