12 ounce can from Tavour. Barely translucent cola brown color. Large frothy tan head leaves great lacing. Sweet toasted malt aroma has earthy, dark bread notes. Flavor is lightly sweet and malty. Perhaps a hint of cocoa powder and woodiness. Smooth and drinkable. Noble hops in finish lean toward a soft spiciness. Outstanding.

Can at home eating #6k. Dark chestnut brown. Nos wise roast and oak and caramel. Tastes of rootbeer, char, oaky, herbal, dark chocolate. Dry. Interesting and lovely.

Can, forgot to write down the canning date (a sticker on the 4-pack holder, and I only bought a single). Drunk 7/22/21.
Large, dark beige head shows strong retention, atop a clear, garnet-tinged-mahogany.
Hazelnut, dark chocolate, cherry, honey, mineral, toast and more break through even the stiff head to prove very aromatic. Clean and with no alcohol noted. Seems incredibly well-balanced; not a roast/melanoidin bomb, nor is it inappropriately hopped for the style. The specialty malt is used lightly enough to provide only light pinches of cocoa, fruit and toast without adding excess acidity and dampening the brightness of the beer.
Wow, this is unbelievable. Tastes like an English dark mild. Just soft, malty, and full of floral and herbal notes with tons and tons of light cocoa, honey and a great attenuation. Fruitiness is a bit surprising, though not unwelcome. Must be from the open fermentation and oak-aging. Lingering light bitterness balances seamlessly and hints of cherry, chocolate, herbal/spicy hops and mineral character all last on the palate very enjoyably. This is incredible stuff!
