Golden color, hazy. Curacao and mandarin aroma and flavor. Yeasty. Banana. Just a bit herbal. Well made example of the style.

Hell hefiger Beginn, weich, mild süß bananig. Spritzig mit zunehmender Brotigkeit, die, zusammen mit dem Hopfen, im Hintergrund bleibt. Spritzig, vollmundig. Mittellanger Nachhall, hefig-herb. 9/10/11/10/8/10

Sehr trübes dunkel goldenes Weizen mit einer schönen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig fruchtig, malzig, bananig, leicht würzig. Geschmack trocken fruchtig, leicht bananig, Nelke, hefig, leicht phenolisch, ok für ein Weizen.

Bottled (thanks fonefan!). Hazy orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, banana, some yeasty, mild spicy and citrusy notes. Flavour is quite similar in a nice balance. Wellbalanced, and also gets some slight toffeeish notes in the flavour.

Bottle 500ml. w. swing top.Hazy orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate yeasty, rubber, banana. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration, fruity, rubber. Body is medium, texture is watery - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20100718]

Bottle at the brewpub’s Keller. Distinct banana aroma, quite rough. Cloudy yellow/orange colour. OK stable white head. The flavour also has a distinct banana note, better than the aroma. A little sweet, hint of bubble gum. Good for the style.

@ the Keller. Tan, cloudy. Fairly sweet smelling with light wheaty note. Spritzy carbonation obscures some footy funk. Wheaty tart finish refreshes. Good, functional wheat.

Draught at Herrmann-Keller, Ampferbach. Cloudy dark yellow, lively head. Light citric nose with some berries and yeast. The mouthfeel is rounded, but excessive carbonation detracts. Finishes with mashed banana flavour. Not the most refreshing of weissbiers.

Bügelverschlußflasche (purchased at the brewery): Visible carbonation, mid-sized to bigger, firm, beaten egg-white-like head, golden coloured, only a bit hazy; citrousy-clovey nose with a good dash of yeast and wheat; sweetish-sourish flavour, quite light bodied; sourish and tart finish, rounded by a lemony fruitiness. Not very convincing, bur drinkable..........
