Very hazy, raw golden coloured body with a very nice, microfoamed tan head, about three centimetres tall that stays afloat nicely above the 80 per cent opaque yellow body. Aroma of candy sweetness of guava, mangoes, passionfruit and tons of dried pineapple - very tropically in the nose and very mild in terms of malt, alcohol or alpha acids. Medium-bodied; Very rich malt body shows wheat and a lot of grainy and biscuity notes that produce more bitterness and pungency than the hops here, which are strong, too, but show a grassy, herbal, funky characteristic with a noticeable hit of tropical fruits, too, but much further after the other bitter notes. Aftertaste is pretty pungent with the funky malts, the dry, grassy and herbal astringent qualities of the hops with a light candy-like sweetness on the end. Overall, this one started out so well, with a very nice look and an even better smell, but the funky and cardboardie malt notes make this decent at best. I've like Aslin's lower ABV IPAs in the past, but this isn't one of them - primarily due to the malt bill here. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from MOM's Organic Market in Fairfax (Merrifield), Virginia on 16-December-2022 for US$4,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 28-April-2023.

16oz can pours a murky orange gold with some creamy, white head. Nose has citrus and some green notes, green grass, green grape, some flowers. Flavor has some honey and malt, grapefruit, raw orange, some green melon. Finishes medium bodied, lightly bitter. Restraint from this brewer is appreciated.

Mango and cantaloupe. Grapefruit, some lime. Very nice hop profile. Murky yellow pour with ok head. Hop tang finish with done residual peel. Nice stuff, a return to form for Aslin. Tap at brewery.
