Overpriced can from the Whale. Canned 10/04/22. Drank 12/24. Goblet @home. Generous oatmeal head. Deep, dark, clear cola or black tea. Minerally, old wood, pretzel, cherry pit. Unsalted pretzel, rough sourdough char, wood pith, lime, watery Dr. Pepper. Okay to good.

Canned 10/27, drunk 11/21/21. Deep copper with a small, white head showing reasonable retention. Heavy toasted malt and caramel in the nose with peppery hops to gently balance. Mineral and a hint of stronger hop acid. Soft, dry and very malty. Tons of red fruit, toast, light caramel and mineral with pine-accented peppery hop. So much flavor for its size and not too much specialty malt acidity/astringency. Suppose the foudre aging really evens this thing out. Lovely stuff.
