Bottle. Clear amber-brown with small tight white head, very good retention. Aroma is quite malty with caramel, a touch of tea and spice but not overly hoppy. Taste again malty with caramel, a touch of cardboard, tea, spice, a slight tangy citric note in a semi-bitter drying finish. Slick light to medium body. Its ok.

Bottle from Aldi Supermarket, Pembroke Dock. Dark golden-amber with a small head. Has a notable pale ale texture, but this certainly has a traditional English ingredients taste, with some caramels.

Fles gedeeld door Koenzie geprobeerd met Roelzie. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van mout en caramel. De smaak moutig en wat toffee achtig.

Bottle, courtesy of my brother-in-law. Pours amber. Biscuit, nutty, hazelnut, blackberry, toffee. Medium body. Fine.

[50cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell.] A bright golden amber pour with gentle carbonation but no head; slightly fruity aroma; rather thin with a caramel taste and a distinct fizz; then some spicy hops to finish. Not sure if this is the same beer as the Summer Ale they brew for Sainsbury's.
