Didn’t know Schilling put out another polotmavy. Clear medium dark copper. Nose is bread toast. Tastes of toast, crackers, honey, caramel, hint of fruit. Dry.

16 oz. can. Aroma is toasted green, dried leaves, yeast. Flavor has roasted green and toasted nut notes. Also in the finish there is baked bread and some mild caramel. Nicely dry texture with maybe a hint of floral hops in the backside. Real good for the style.

Draft at Schilling. Dark amber, thick foamy head, rings of lacing. Toasty, bready, malty aroma. Taste is brown bread, sweet, notes of rye, pumpernickel. Full, creamy.

Canned 4/14/22, drunk 5/25/22. Amber, clear, dark beige head steadily fades to cover/ring. Berries and toasted malt with light minerality and sourdough. Soft honey-caramel, low hop acidity, just a touch of herbs. Soft and malty, well-attenuated, caramel-honey, very light toast and sourdough with soft herbal hops. Mineral, very light yellow fruits and lingering honey.

Draught at the brewery, 3/30/25.
Looks the part and smells aromatic, albeit very reserved, with lots of cracker and biscuit and very low hopping (relatively speaking).
The flavor, even taking in to consideration the low abv, is just a BIT too lean/light/bland for my taste. Malts are long and very dry, though not scratchy/tannic. Just zero sweetness/rich maltiness. Low hopping, as well. Still, it's clean, shows plentiful mineral, attenuation and a fairly crisp finish.

Pours clear, brassy bronze into a shaker. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving soapy spiders. Dark caramel aromas. Dry with wet straw, golden syrup, and mixed nuts front to back. Medium length earth and bark finish.
