Bottled. Dark amberish brown colour with mediumsized off-white head. Leaves some lace. Aroma is fruits, yeast, caramel malts, some nectar and also mild notes of earth. Flavour is caramel malts, strong breadyness but also some sourness. A kind of sweet meet sour thing. Not that exciting.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a dense and very lasting, off-white head - sorta shaving foam style. Aroma of roasted malt and brown sugar. Medium body with a fairly high carbonation, sweetish notes of roasted malt and caramel. Has a vague, underlying tartness. A very straight and accessible Belgian ale. 100307

Rich red-brown colour. Aroma is slightly musty. Quite thin feeling in the mouth with no big flavours coming through. Slightly acidic, tart feel upon swallowing. Mediocre.

Bottled. Almost clear, copper-colored. Weak, but pleasant aroma with dried fruits, sweetness and some spicey hints. Alcohol, sugar and dried fruits in the flavor. Medium, sweet and sparkling body. The finish is mostly alcohol, with some spice and dried fruits. The least interesting of the Urthel-beers. (060801)

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 14 July) Colour is dark ruby, with a dense firm off-white head, leaving lots of lacing. Nose is mainly malty and fruity with notes of wild berries and cherries. Taste is also malty with berries (cherries and blueberries). Initial sweetness turns drier towards the creamy, smooth finish. Nice, malty and easy to drink, maybe lacking some bite.

An almost opaque dark red-brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of over ripe fruits and prunes, but also slight hints of wood. The flavor is also sweet with primary notes of wood, chocolate, prunes, and over ripe fruits, but also slight notes of alcohol, though the body is medium. The end is dry roasted.

(bottle) Dark mahogany colour with a big foamy tanned head, slowly lacing. Nutty, moderately sweet toasted malt aroma with a tinge of caramel, chocolate and a fruity background. Sweet flavour, medium body, fizzy carbonation. Initially sweet malty taste with caramel, toasted elements and cacao. Slightly fruity and medium dry malty finish with a touch of liquorice. Not very impressive decent Belgian Ale.
