The twelfth of thirteen beers for our thirteenth wedding anniversary. Mifarí's. Bottle 0.375l, four and half years aged. The last memory for our Budapest madness trip. Cloudy, copper colored. AROMA- sweet fruit liquor, cherry, my father's homemade sour cherry liquor, currant, grapes, red wine, big flowers, mulled wine. FLAVOR- not so sharp as typical Flanders, lightly sweet, moderately sour, touch of pleasant alcohol, slightly tart, red wine, mulled wine, grapes, berries, sour cherry, plum, some barrel character. Fuller bodied.
Amazing.

Another monyo sour I've kept to share with my family. Pours a deep dark ruby red with basically no head. Aroma is intense wood, lots of vanilla, red fruits and berries, tart and sour. Medium to full body - the abv is hidden well. Flavour is rich, sweet and sour. Really sweet but the tart and sour flavours balance it out. Lots of barrel notes, lots of oak and vanilla, the Tokaj also comes out beautifully. Lots of berries like raspberry and blackberry, some date and prune and grapes. Beautiful. Definitely a top notch sour.
