We are happy to introduce Seaside Contrast West Coast Pilsner (Five Point One Percent). We used a 100% Pilsner malt grain bill accompanied with some of our favorite American hops creating a beer that is simple, clean, crisp, and crushable.

Can (4/13/26) from the brewery. Hazy, opaque yellow, light sparkle, thin head with fair retention, trace lacing. Aroma is strong florals, pine and herb, Pilsner malt. Taste is strong, dank, musky herb (bordering on cat box), pine, malt but not hugely identifiable as Pilsner. Smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation, mix of sweet and bitter finish with malt. Not strong Pilsner character and the hops are not simply piney West Coast but a dank, unwelcome (to me) cat-box quality. Good strength.

Canned 4/13, drunk 7/3/26. Thanks to tfontana for the can!
Nice bit of berry, wood, gooseberry, mild tropical fruit. Nothing punchy or too acidic and the malt is noticeable but doesn't overtake the hop character. Getting more white grape and soft funk, which is surprising if it's all American hops. Just really round, aromatic, deep and even.
Similar to the nose, the flavor is hoppy with a big, soft, chewy, supple malt base. Maybe gets a bit burly or ale-like, though I wouldn't quite call it too sweet or underattenuated. Good bitterness, cracker, biscuit, dryness on the finish. Maybe a bit more woody, piney acidity than I'd prefer, but it is a WC style, so it's understanable. Fidens probably not the most experienced with lagers, but this is a very respectable one and I'm sure they will continue to dial them in.

Pint can at Ben’s Cafe. Poured a slightly hazy yellow golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, grassy hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a crisp, fresh, grassy, light dank, light citrus, floral hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Probably the lightest colored Pilsner I’ve ever had. Great flavor - some very nice pine and light citrus notes, good malt body. Crisp, refreshing, and crushable.

Clean and crisp. 🇵🇦 score! But the linesman raises the flag for offside. 🇺🇸 with their hearts in their mouth. Potential penalty to Panama if the goal is offside.
