Foam draught, 8/13/22. Dark ebony, undetermined clarity. Small, tan head. Nose is fudgey-brownie, but just enough barrel and roast and soft vanilla to give it both complexity and not just the smell of sugar. It's infinitely sniffable and highly aromatic with low alcohol. Even the hazelnut isn't overdone. Everything seems nicely homogenized. Soft, chewy, sticky but not syrupy or cloying. Hazelnut helps dry things out and the vanilla soothes without being too sweet. Chocolate, roast, spicy bourbon and lingering roast. Just scary drinkable. The alcohol catches up but is never sharp/hot or overdrying.

On tap at the Campus. Pours a thick oily black with a dark brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of hazelnut supported by chocolate, roasted malts and sweet dark grains. Flavor has lots of hazelnut as well with a dark grain backbone and a growing bourbon and chocolate presence.
