To rejoice in the return of baseball and the return to Kauffman Stadium, we brewed up the perfect celebratory beer for tailgates, outdoor watch parties, or porch-listening to Denny on the radio. Meet Back to the K - Saison Ale.

This beer features our house Saison yeast for bright citrus notes alongside a hop bill of Magnum, Simcoe, and Styrian Golding, and Mandarina Bavaria (say that five times fast) that rounds it all out for a refreshing, crisp, and citrus-on-the-nose Saison. Does it pair well with all your favorite ballpark fare?! You bet it does!

Hops: Magnum, Simcoe, Styrian Golding & Mandarina Bavaria

Pour is a clear blonde with a large white head. Aroma is yeast ester and a little vanilla. Flavor is a big white pepper with some yeast ester and a very clean finish. This is a nice simple saison. Nothing to get in the way of the ingredients.

750 ml corked and caged bottle purchased at the Lukas Liquor Superstore - Martin City - in Kansas City, Missouri. L040121-1. The pour is a clear golden with a large amount of fine carbonation bubbles building up a 4 inch frothy white head that falls very slowly with splotchy lace. Pretty beer. The aroma is a nice soft straw, hay and earth, with a hint of yeast character showing herbal. The taste is clean traditional Saison with the herbal notes with some pear sweet, followed by the straw and finishing with crisp dry herbal hay. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and the clean finish. Super easy drinking beer.

750 picked up on a recent drive through KC - was really excited to see this - hazy gold with a thick, well-sustained head - nose is herbal, flinty, grassy, with light melon and peppery phenols - soft and full in the mouth - mostly dry, with a little bit of peachy sweetness through the middle - leads and finishes peppery, light herbal, with slight minerality - really good, but not the total home run I was hoping for.
