300ml bottle, UK import, 8.0% abv. Poured black with a small beige head. Aroma was sweet, roasted malt, coffee, molasses, liquorice, light chocolate and ash. Medium plus sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture. Wasn't bad.

Bottle. Very dark color, almost opague. Roasted malt and licorice in the aroma and flavor. Nice beer, but not very refined and on the sweet side for this type of stout. Refreshing.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours pitch black color with a small dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toast, dark bread, raisin, plum, light tobacco, light char, and roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and light-moderate dark fruit notes; with good strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toast, dark bread, raisin, plum, light char, and roasted earthiness. Fair amount of roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toast, dark bread, raisin, plum, light char, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and complexity of dark/roasted malt and light-moderate dark fruit flavors; with a good roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Foreign stout style. All around good balance, robustness, and complexity of dark/roasted malt and light-moderate dark fruit flavors; and very smooth to sip on even with the low carbonation. A very enjoyable offering.

at a tasting, thanks Tom, dark brown colour, aroma of soggy paper, dark caramel ,dark chocolate and stale grain, flavour of chocolate with something metallic and a hint of dried fruits, quite dry but with a light sweetness. Fair and drinkable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Tom L. Dark brown to black. Nice aroma with lots of chocolate. Sweetish flavor with some roastiness, a sugary note, quite a bit of chocolate and light fruitiness. Medium-bodied. Not bad.

Healthy tasting taste that feels nice to drink, but doesn’t have an overbearing taste.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small foamy brown head that faded fairly quickly. The aroma was faint licorice and molasses. The flavor was roasty and dryish with notes of licorice, wood, bourbon and fruity hops. Medium length finish with roasty malts, wood and licorice lingering. A bit thin in body for a stout. Ok.
