Tap @ Uile-bheist taproom, Inverness. Almost black with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 210726

Keg at the source. It pours darkest brown. To black with a small white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, liquorice, coffee grounds, chocolate cake and treacle. The taste is dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet, plain chocolate, chocolate bourbon biscuits, malt loaf touch of umami/liquorice and coffee grounds with a dry roasted finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Rounded and quaffable. Decent stuff.

On tap at Uilebheist taproom, Inverness Wednesday 27th March 2024. Pours black with a beige head, toasty, roasty and a nice dose of liquorice. Soft mouthfeel, it's nice, just a little bit too cold. Another 3.4

Aroma: roasted malts, dark chocolate and fudge. Taste: fudge and dark chocolate leading to a medium roast mouthfeel. Next one please!
