Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear golden. Aroma of fruity esters (apple, banana), a spicy hint and a bit of alcohol. Sweet estery flavor with some bitterish alcohol. Medium-bodied, over-carbonated.

Clear golden, airy white head. Sweet, malty aroma. Candy and yeasty notes. Flavour has clear alcohol and spicy maltyness. Fizzy, fluffy mouthfeel. Spicy, sweet and boozy finish.

The follow-up to Tongerlo Tripel since 2009. Deep golden blonde with vivid sparkles, frothy, off-white head. Malt sweet main character, orange peel, peach, grass, yeasty spiciness, pineapple; sweetish taste, fruity notes, a bit yeasty, smooth mouthfeel, slight sourishness and moderate yeastiness, medium grassy hop bitterish finish with some warming alcohol, dryish. Hoppier and less sweet than its predecessor and in that sense a clear improvement, at least to my palate, but still an ordinary and rather forgettable tripel.

Bottle in Hermans. Clean gold with a fluffy head. Aroma is peppery yeast. Tangy on the tongue. Sweet fruity flavour, a little metal on a tart bitter finish.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours hazy copper. Aroma is sweet vanilla. Taste follows with luscious tripel flavours veering on the sweet side. Has a fair carbonation but doesn’t distract too much from the taste.
