Keg at Kernel taproom, Bermondsey, London. A golden/straw coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, malty, orange, pine aroma & taste. Very drinkable IPA, expected a bitter beer but it wasnt, pleasantly surprised.

Tap at Arch 7 kernel tap. A clear mid gold coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is semi sweet subdued, orange rind, biscuit malts, piney hop, light toffee, sap. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, woody citrus, bark, pine sap, assertive hop bitterness, grassy finish. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, fine carbonation. Light weed in the finish. Good.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 22/07/23. Clear golden to light amber with an off white cap that retains well. Nose is bitter orange, grass, pine needle, light dank tickle, ripe melon, grapefruit. Taste comprises grapefruit, pine needle, crisp malts, dank spike, spruce tips, melon, orange zest. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with grassy come ever so slightly resinous hop bitterness. Solid thirst quenching and on point WC IPA.

Can direct from Elusive. It pours lightly hazy golden with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, biscuity, sponge cake, grapefruit, tangelo, lemon curd, lemon poppyseed cake, pine and spruce. The taste is crisp, firm dryness, decent hit of bitterness which builds and lingers, zesty, tangy, grapefruit, tangerine, pomelo, splash of lemonade, plenty of pine, spruce, peppery spice, biscuit and light sponge cake with a drying, piney finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. What's not to like? Is well put together and ticks all the classic west coast boxes. Chuggable.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Elusive online. Pours crystal clear honey-gold with a modest, foamy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with nice piney bitterness, orange peel, mellow minerality, crisp malts, a little pine oil, grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, resinous, some sun-kissed pale malts, more citrus peel. Good stuff.
