355 ml silver foil capped bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Very slightly hazy golden yellow with two fingers of off-white head. Aromas of herbs, orange citrus, light spice, wheat. Tastes of herbs, orange citrus and peel, some yeast and wheat bread. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Well made wit. Would be a nice microbrew intro/alternative for the Blue Moon drinker.

Bottle from Harvest Market, Bedford NH. Aroma is Belgian yeast, biscuit. Appearance is cloudy yellow, suited to the style, with nice sparkle and 2 finger-width foamy white head that dissipates pretty quickly with lacing that is ephemeral. Taste is initial sweet citrusy fruit followed by dominant sour. Palate is medium bodied with thin texture and overly fizzy carbonation (a recurring theme I am finding with this brewer) with foamy finish. Overall, a pretty straightforward witbier with some nice features but nothing spectacular.

Pours a hazy pale golden color, topped with a decent white soapy head, retention is average. Pleasant citrusy aroma with quite some nice spices, a bit wheaty as well. Taste is sweet and wheaty at first with more stress on soury citrusy feel, some spices. Very nice and refreshing.

Bottle. A- Citrus, spice, wheat, soft. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, spices, subtle citrus. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, light finish. O- This was very similar to a Hoegaarden in my book. Although a little heavier on the spice yet overall lighter on the palate. A decent beer but not super exciting.

This ale poured a light yellow colour with a bright white, fizzy head. Scents include cheese, yeast and light spice and hops. First swig was quite carbonated with flavours of yeast, corn and spice. Finish is yeasty with clove flavours lingering.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home unwinding after work on a Friday. Appearance is a very cloudy moderately dark gold with a very rich white head. Aroma smells of bottle carbonation, very yeasty, clove notes as well, smells like a Belgian brewery (from Canada). Taste is rather good, finishes dry, light clove, thick but not boozy, enjoyable. Good stuff.

Classic witbier as far as North America is concerned, creamy, fluffy off-white head, colour a cloudy ochre; malty aroma, wheaty, classically perfumed with coriander and citrus peel. Taste soft and citrussy at first, wheaty sourishness as expected, mellow, spicy tones of the coriander, elegant, refreshing finish. Very Belgian in style and stylistically stereotypical.

This was poured into a mug since it is a witbier and not weizen because weizens are for German styled weizen beers, not Belgian witbiers.
Anyways, here’s the rest.
The appearance was an extremely nice looking hazy pale golden yellow with a decent one finger to one and a half finger white foamy head that dissipates within about less than a minute. There isn’t much lacing.
The smell has a super nice blend of coriander to orange peel leading to a nice sweet lemon-like lingering aroma just rolling all around underneath my nose.
The taste was pretty sweet through the orange but gently lets in the coriander to add a very nice spicy element to the flavor. There’s a slight refreshing sweet to spicy aftertaste that ends up leading to a slight coriander semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation is right on par for the style and for me.
Overall, in my opinion, this was a very nicely done witbier well worthy of having again and would love to have it again with a nice fresh seafood dish. I do have to admit, I am a bit surprised to not find as much yeasty/breadiness to this one, but honestly, I think I’m okay with that.

750 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a big, frothy white head that laces nicely. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus and wheat. Sweet flavour with citrus, wheat and a light, dry, spicy finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.
