We teamed up with the masters from across the ocean, Other Half, to brew and extremely special DIPA for Northern Monk to celebrate Hop City 2023, also brewed in collaboration with Yakima Chief showcasing YCH 301 Trial Citra Cryo hops.
This experimental product takes Frozen fresh Hops then uses Cryo Hops technology to preserve maximum flavour and aroma. With a few extra hop additions, this beer truly is Hop City.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of peaches, pineapple, citrus fruits, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, citrus fruits, peaches, pineapple, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Tap at The Bishops Arms Gustav Adolfs Torg (MalmΓΆ) 08/07/2023 Exotic and citrus fruity with lots of lychee and mango, some cantaloupe, soft dense creamy malty backbone, assertive dank hoppy finish. Lovely.

Can, 8%. Hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hop, citrus, tropical fruit and pineapple. Flavour is malt, fruit, hop, citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple, sweet, little grapefruit and a little bitter.

23rd May 2023 Can. Hazy whitish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth, light and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, thinnish creamy sweetness, some milky sweetness creeping in. Light pine and a little hop spice. A lot of sweetish canteloupe melon. Floral guava. Lesser floral citrus. Some mellow savoury skunk before a light and semi dry finish. Hmmm YCH301 treatment eh? Well this tastes nice enough but it doesn't taste much like Citra to me. Curious but not unpleasant.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - cloudy to murky yellow. Snow white head. Nose - pineapple and grapefruit. Taste - a bit more resinous but still tropical and citrus notes coming through. Palate - light to medium bodied and zesty while still a little resinous. Overall - usual murky stuff, if a little bit on the green side.
