We teamed up with brewing legend Jamil Zainasheff to brew this tribute to Mike 'Tasty' McDole's Janet's Brown recipe. To take things ina fun direction we mash hopped with Cascade to promote the presence of thiol precursors and used WHC Labs Hop Unlock yeast to unleash aroma compounds into the beer for a big hop hit.

Delt med Rune i WCveien. Brun. Uklar. Middels høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Aroma av blomster & karamell. Smaken tørket frukt, vanilje & karamell. Tørr, letter bitter avslutning. Annerledes - og god. Litt bunnfall.

Can ordered from the brewery. Aroma had rich praline and caramel. Floral and resin undertones. Opaque treacle brown. Foamy off-white head. flavour has two things going on simultaneously - tangy berries and citrus with a vinous edge. Creamy praline and caramel. They weave in and out. Medium bodied. Thin creamy mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable US hopped Brown.

440ml can. Pours a very dark brown, big beige head. Aroma has a bit of a herbal hoppy twang, chocolate, caramel. Taste of chocolate and caramel malts, herbal piney hops, a little fruity, with a solid hop bitterness at the end. Good brown.
