Keg at Blind Tiger, Peterborough. A triple BIPA, maybe my first! Pours unclear deep brown with a beige to tan cap. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, umami, earthy, pine. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, big roast, chocolate, liquorice, grapefruit, boozy. Medium to full body with fine carbonation. A big beer, quite boozy, lots going on!

440ml can. Poured an unclear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light resin. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a light piney resin, roasty, earthy, warm, light boozy alcohol, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. A nice and obviously boozy BIPA, but the promised flavours seemed to be drowned out by the alcohol and were very subtle at best.

Large rocky cream coloured head on a dark brown coloured body. Pine, resin, coniferous & malt tastes. Medium bodied, smooth with a tingle & clean. Chocolate, malt, pine, resinous & herbal tastes with a bitter citrussy finish.

440ml can. Pours a very dark brown with a beige/light brown head. Aroma of chocolate/roast malts, alcohol, piney resin. Taste is hoppy, piney, resinous, citrus, chocolate, roast malts, warming alcohol, bitter and boozy finish. Great BIPA but the booze is NOT well hidden.
