440ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast, coffee. Taste is roasty, coffee, chocolate, caramel, treacle, dry bitter finish. Excellent stout with a fuller body than expected for the strength.

On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours almost black with minimal off-white head. Nose has some burnt treacle. In the mouth it is bitter and hoppy with charcoal and treacle. Plus most roasted malts and hints of alcoholic strength. Finish is slightly dry. This is decent if not a world beater.
