Only faint malt- and barnyardaroma. Medium bodied. Neutral taste with some apple fruitiness. Bland and unconvincing, but drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilsener on 26 Aug 2019 at 12:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Bottle, bought @ Pension Karin. Blonde. Malt, floral grassy notes and a hint of butter in the aroma. Firm grassy floral hopbitter flavor. Malty with soft buttery notes. Almost clean, tasty pilsener. Potentially very good.

Bottle(@Pension Karin): Golden, hazy, small white head; mild herbal-grainy nose, some pale malt underneath, some bready traces as well; mild to moderste bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, soft; gentle bitter-sweet finish. Decent…

Bottle [thanks to bierkoning] @ home. Clear orange golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, a slight sour hint, a bit musty, decently bitter, a little more bitter than I usually get in a pilsener. Potentially good, but the slight sourness (slight infection?) is too strong to make it nice to drink imo. Too bad, if it had been clean and crisp it would have been a really nice pilsener I think.

Bottle, 5.0% bought at the brewpub. OK fruity hop aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is quite bready and slightly skunky, probably due to age. Was already too old when the brewpub sold it to me. Seems malty enough with low to medium bitterness. Could have been OK.

Draught at the brewpub. Bright straw colour, brief head. Faint grassy nose. Medium dry and light bodied. A dat watery or diluted, somewhat astringent with long resiny bitterness. Feels a bit unbalanced with it’s almost watery body and heavy bitterness.

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a small but persistent foamy white head. Sweet and grainy malt aroma, cereal-like with a light herbal hoppy touch. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a very soft mouthfeel. Grainy, slightly bready and a bit chalky taste with light herbal notes; medium-dry, sweet and malt-accented finish with a tinge of hoppy bitterness. Not very Pilsener-like, but it will do as a decent Helles.
