Fruit wild ale

Process: A blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old golden ales brewed with malted barley and raw wheat. Spontaneously fermented and aged in neutral French oak barrels. Refermented on whole Morello cherries grown in Kent. Finished with Madagascan vanilla pods and Sri Lankan cinnamon sticks.

Conditioning: Packaged with a small amount of priming sugar for natural carbonation in the bottle. We do not add yeast at this point, or at any point in the process. Bottles laid to rest on their sides and conditioned until release.

Bottle shared at CBJ - big thanks to Mr. Frog. Cheers! Pours mostly clear red with a small, creamy pink head. Light sweet flavour with moderate tartness, sweat, berries. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Tart finish, fairly clean, decent acidity, tangy berries. Decent gear.

CBJ Tasting. Bottle thanks to Mr Frog. A light haze on this hazy blackberry colour beer, small pinky head. Light smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Airy and slightly tart blackberry. Nice but a little one dimensional.

Deep red-purple colour with a small left over pink rim. Vinous red fruit nose, red grapes, fruitwine rests. Sour-sweet, but with a faint, not-quite-real fruit flavour. Red fruit, fruitextract. Medium bodied, slick to viscous, yet good carbonation. It has an artificial tang that I didn't expect from this applauded blendery.
