We had wanted to brew an intense milk stout for a while, and the Left Handed Giant crew know what they are doing around some milk sugars/lactose. When Jack from LHG came to Tottenham for our May collaboration, something imperial, creamy and indulgent was top of the list.
If you’re going big on a milk stout, you might as well take it all the way to massive. Escape Pod is maxed out with vanilla, coconut and cacao nibs. Brewed with milk sugars, it is smooth and shamelessly sweet.

Canned, 440 ml shared with Max, Simon and Miro B. Black with beige head. Chocolate, vanilla, coconut, coffee, bit lactic. Smooth. Moderate sweetness, some bitterness in finish.

Can from Cotteridge Wines and shared with the Kuala Lumpur Tasting Crew. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is big roasty malt, sweet chocolate, coconut, vanilla. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet, with a smooth, rich, oily, red berry fruit, sweet chocolate, big coconut palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation. Superb.

Negra con espuma tostada de duración corta. Aroma a maltas tostadas , regaliz y vaiilla. Sabor ligeramenete dulce, notas muy presentes a coco y vainilla, maltas asadas y torrefactas. Final con leve dulzor, fácil de beber, apensa se notas os 10% ABV.

Zo tijd voor wat anders, dikke volle chocolade, veel kokos, vanille, zoet, lactose, volmoutig, man wat had ik hier zin in na al die ipa’s Purchased at La Black Flag

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, decent darkish tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft, decent fine minerally carbonation, perhaps a touch too much so. Soft dark malts, creamy dark chocolate. Good chocolate cake. Nicely integrated light coconut. This beer has attracted a lot of high scores and I get that. I like it but it’s a tiny bit boozy and dies away at the very end. Very good all the same. Chocolate fudge linger.

440ml can. Pours jet black with a small head. Aroma is strong coconut and dark chocolate, a little vanilla. Taste is sweet with coconut, dark chocolate, cocoa, roast and vanilla. Liquid Bounty.

440ml can. Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma of coconut, chocolate, vanilla. Taste of coconut and chocolate (liquid Bounty bar), roast malts, caramel, sweet vanilla and lactose. Full bodied, smooth, incredibly well balanced. What a great collab this turned out to be!

Can at home ... dark black .. thin tan lacing .. soft nutty chocolate roast malt nose ... big chocolate .. dark roast ... bitter coconut .. tiniest blue cheese .. dart roast ... little more bitter than i like

Can at home. Pours black, nose is huge coconut, caramel, liquorice, chocolate, taste is similar, creamy, sweet.
