500ml bottle, red wax sealed, @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Feb 24. Cheers Jeremy for this! Pours dark with a good tan head. Pleasant malty nose, roast & chocolate both getting a look in. Good malt depth with a soft whisky influence.. decent clobber.

19th February 2024; Shrewsbury Gathering, five blokes and loads of beer to share. 500ml bottle from me (via KWM Wines). Black bodied, tanned foam on top. Nice malty brew with a decent but not overpowering Whiskey notes, nice, easy sipping Winter Warmer sort of beer.

Black. Aroma is cocoa caramel syrup light booze coconut shell vanilla. Taste is light sweet chocolate with deep rich caramel. Huge boozy and woody vanilla-y finish. Despite being somewhat boozy an excellent flavourful Imperial Stout.

Fles 50cl thuis. Roasted malts, beetje as, redelijk koolzuur, eik, whiskeytonen, wat vanille, liquorice, wat koffie, toffee, licht caramel, chocolade, bittertonen, redelijk droog. (2-7-2023).

On tap at Mikkeller at Morebeer, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out plenty of roasted barley, fairly subdued whiskey barrels, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour sort of reminds me of a mega-amped up imperial dry stout, with tons of whiskey and roasted malt. Boozy, whiskey-dominated and roasty, with a long dry finish. Dry, like an Irish dry stout on steroids, with plenty of barrel. Excellent.

Fles gedeeld door Tomhendriksen. Diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met matig schuim dat als een film blijft liggen. Aroma van koffie en gebrand hout. Smaak van salmiak en drop maar ook koffie en chocolade komen naar voren. Zacht in de mond. Nasmaak van salmiak, vanille en koffie.

Fles gedeeld met Inoven, het is een pikzwart bier met een volle bruinige schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout, hout, rozijnen en whisky. De smaak is vol, gebrande koffie, drop en whisky achtig.
