Bottle at Everest Gurkha restaurant in Chelmsford. Poured golden with a large, frothy white head. Aroma of malt, hop, grass, caramel and light fruit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Better than average themed restaurant lager.

Bottle at a Nepalese restaurant in Ealing, 3/1/2018. Pale gold in colour with plenty of fizz. Flabby, very sweet malts dominated this lager. The few hops seemed tired. A lager to be avoided.

(Bottle) Clear golden with good white head. Aroma has lemon, grain and vegetable notes. Light body, good carbonation. Quite malty, although light malt and wheat, with some grain / cereal notes and a pleasant tartness. There is a hint of bitterness in the finish. Nice and refreshing, and went well with a curry.

Canned 500ml. -as Gurkha Premium Gold Lager Beer. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away fast, dusty and light grainy nose. Sweetish malty, some cardboard, grain and sugar with hint of alcohol inthe finish. Unbalanced of course but not so offensive as I’ve expected to be.

Bottle@Panas Gurkha’s Kitchen, Grove Park - pale yellow/golden pour with a big foamy head. Aroma and taste is grassy, straw, pils malty, clean and crisp, refreshing. Not bad, and certainly not the worst beer with a curry I have had (has to be said the curry it went with was cracking!)

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, getreidig, leicht süß. Geschmack leicht malzig getreidig, minimal herb.
