500ml can. Jet black colour with average, frothy to creamy, very slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty and resinous, piney hoppy aroma, notes of coffee, hints of dark chocolate. Taste is roasty, chocolately, dark malty and resinous, piney hoppy, hints of coffee, dark chocolate with some residual sweetness, mild hop bitterness, a subtle touch of liquorice. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium to fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation. Well balanced, maybe a tad simple but very distinct and focussed - really good.
