IPA... A soft wheat and oat driven IPA with a rhythmical, throbbing eruption of Simcoe, Centennial and El Dorado hops hammering out reverberating palpitations of ripe mango, orange and pineapple crush.

(440ml can from Glasbanken) Pours opaque gold with a thick white head and some lace. Aroma of dank slightly unripe mango and very ripe orange, with citrus peel, pineapple juice, a little weed, wet pine forest and fruit candy. Flavour is somewhat sweet and juicy up front, again lots of bright orange, lemon oil, mango, dried pineapple, gummy candies, fresh wet pine and cedar, smooth wheat/oat malt base, lightly powdery, drying on the finish with citrus pith, pine, slight weed and earth and a touch of 'green', moderate hop bite. Light to medium bodied, with lightly prickly carbonation. On the danker side but has some nice juice to it, not perfectly balanced but properly tasty.

Can from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham and shared with the KL Tasting Crew. Poured a hazy light golden colour with a very short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, earthy, mineral, stone fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a malt, light citrus fruit, light dry floral hop bitter palate. Packs a punch, but not the right kind of punch for me.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Fully hazy, medium gold. Fine white head. Nose has juicy pear and peach. Some cryo citrus. Touch of Juicy Fruit gum. Some yellow jelly babies. Taste is sweet and fruity. Light, pithy, oily bitterness. Medium body. More juice. Foamy carbonation. Lingering pithy bitterness to finish. Great IPA. And no oats!

Can. Hazy yellow gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Nice citric and tropical fruit nose. Smooth light palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Good gamut of hop goodness here. Green hop tang, mellow skunk, smooth pine, modest spice, slightly ripe tropical fruits. Smooth floral citrus. Smooth light finish. Another well rounded IPA from Wylam.

Can. An unclear yellow beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of lemons, hops, exotic fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, lemons, peaches, mango, hops, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.
