inky purple color. Slightly tart, big merlot, oak and funky nose. Big wine character, tons of oak. Not overly complex but big and fun.

500mL bottle, pours black (or a very dark brown with an amber tinge) with a very small tan head. Nose is very vinous, with loads of wood, red wine barrels, grape must, and a little wild yeast. Flavour is tart, woody and vinous, with lots of woody oak and red wine barrels upfront, replace with tons of tannins. The backside is very tart, with lots of musty tart grape skins and gentle wild yeast presence. Definitely a very heavily vinous beer. Lots of layers than breathe as you nurse this thing. Excellent.

Rich purple colour, no head. Very vinous aroma. On the palate, vinous for sure, all those red wine notes, dark fruits, but also brett, wood, the malt sweetness is different from wine, and everything really comes together. I like this - a true beer/wine hybrid, unique and tasty.
