Ceallach rend hommage à ce style rendu mondialement connu par la célèbre Guinness.
Légère en alcool, d'une pintabilité extrême et dotée d'un corps malté et chocolaté, nous ne pouvions rêver mieux pour ce premier brassin.
Elle a déjà conquis le cœur de toute l'équipe.

A bit of gusher. Big head and hard to pour. Generous rostad aromas with coffee, chocolate, fudge, soy, dried plums. On the sweet side but still some ash in the end. Really nice

Very high dark beige head over red-shot black beer. Dry coffeepowder, ashy, black chocolate, charcoal, meatroast. Dry ashy initial flavour, even hints at stoutacidity. Again some black chocolate, metalrust. Feels typically better bodied than it probably is, very well-carbonated. Aftertaste gradually gets sweeter. Decent stout, maybe a tad too sweet in the finish compared to a - well, ya know.

Decent light stout. Tough to prefer over any real classic even Guinness though. Craft beer corner Köln

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of roasted malts. Touch of coffee. Easy, sessionable and very flavoursome.

Cask at Nanobrasserie l’Ermitage, Brussels on 27th January 2024. Solid sepia with tan foam and full lacing. Rich, roast malt aroma. Hazelnut, dark chocolate and coffee in-mouth with some herby spices, and a finish of dark chocolate. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Texture is closer to a porter than a stout, but nevertheless a great cask ale in Belgium!

Draft @ Ermitage Taproom pour les 6 ans de la brasserie.
Brune foncée oscillant vers le noir, le tout avec un col crémeux onctueux sur le café au lait voire le moka. En rétro-nasal, délicates notes de crémeux
Arôme sur un bouquet délicieux de stout classique anglais tout en offrant des notes chocolatées, grillées avec un rétro chocolat noir et un léger bouquet de houblons qui apportent une franche plus terreurse et fleuri.
Palais sur un caractère très anglais/irlandais de stout franchement bien pintable. Chargée en malt dont une bonne grosse dose de grillé, torréfié et de chocolat. Onctuosité en bouche avec un léger retour d'amerttume d'houblons anglais/nobles. En fin de bouche, je retrouve un léger caractère de cendres/fumé.
C'est franchement la 'stout' que Ermitage avait besoin et qui rivalisé avec ce que Anspach fait avec sa London Black. Reste à la trouver en version 'nitro'.
