330ml can, #306, bought at Vinmonopolet Oslo City. Shared with Finn. Off-white head leaving dotted spots on the glass, unclear dark brown body. Inviting aromas of earth and grainy chocolate malts. Mixed malt-forward flavours of caramel and chocolate. A peaty note towards a caramel-chocolate finish, noticeable alcohol to it. Decent, a bit over the top, maybe. (Tromsø, 30.08.2024).

Can. A brown one, muddy and lightly oily, with more or less no head. Oatmeal, coffee, roasted malts and some alcohol in the aroma. It’s full-bodied, warming and soft on the palate, with a light sweetness. Roasted malts, oats, burnt malts, some coffee and a touch of nuts and toffee. Alcohol. Lasting warming and roasted and burnt finish. Too alcoholic this one, and a bit too straight forward. Some qualities though. 231125
