On draught at BrewDog Leicester. Purplish brown and a bit translucent. Light chocate fudge notes on the nose, some coffee, some ash, a bit of malt biscuit which I suppose could stand in for the base of the cheesecake. Taste is amazing, sweet with a heavy roast malt bitterness neater the finish. Salted caramel and raspberry coulis in the aftertaste. Heavy carbonation. Subtle as a brick, but still delicious.

On keg at Brewdog Lothian Rd, Edinburgh. Appearance - opaque black, more cola than coffee. Thin decent lacing. Nose - cheesecake very evident. Some sort of berry fruit too. Also chocolate malt note. Taste - definitely raspberry this time an with creamy chocolate on its tail. Palate - medium plus in body, very creamy in texture but extremely drinkable. Overall - lovely beer.

Draft @ Brewdog Brussels.

Bottle from BrewDog online store Pours black with tiny head. Taste is sweetish, dominated by raspberries. Cheesy bit is softening it and that also makes alcohol dangerously hidden. Good.

Keg @ Brewdog Helsinki. Pours pitch black with a thick off white head. Raspberries, chocolate, sweetness and coffee. Quite massive with nice raspberry notes. Full bodied.

Bottle from BrewDog online. Black body with a tan head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of raspberry, nuts and brownie. Flavour of blueberry, espresso and metal. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. It’s a bit sharper than I expected.

At a tasting, medium stable bubbly head, opaque black color, aroma of raspberries and smoke with toasted dark bread behind, flavor of rapsberries and dark chocolate with dark bread and a hint of coal, nicely balanced and integrated, not to heavy. Excellent, hughly enjoyable.
