Russian River Golden Ale was one of the first four beers ever brewed by Vinnie at Russian River Brewing Company while out at Korbel Champagne Cellars back in 1997. He re-brewed it as a part of a four-beer anniversary pack which we sold in April of 2022 to celebrate the breweries 25th anniversary.The other three beers were, Russian River Pale Ale, Russian River IPA, and Russian River Porter. The recipe is exactly as it was back in 1997 and the artwork is a refreshed version of our original RRBC logo.
Blonde in color, Russian River Golden Ale is mild in aroma and flavor and has a very simple recipe with just one malt and one hop variety.

18th January 2023, part of a flight in the O'Shea Tasting Room, Laguna Niguel, California. Golden pour, white head that stayed around. I really thought this would be interesting and special, sadly that wasn't the case. Nothing wrong with it being a decent blend of bittering hops and semi-sweet malts, I just expecting more of everything!

Can 47,3 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a small, white head. Crispy, malty nose with next to no hop aroma. Medium body, clean and lightly sweet maltiness. Some bittering hops. Straight and well made but in every way unspectacular 090922

Tap. Pours clear straw, medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is light, hints if grass, floral notes, cracker, hint of breadiness. Flavor is light sweet, minimal bitterness. Light body. Crushable.

16oz can pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is sweet grain malts some grassy hops and touch of spice. Taste is more of the nice hops and bread malts.

16oz can from brewery. Rich, golden pour, small foamy head. Bready, biscuity aroma. Taste is mildly sweet, malty, nice weight and creamy feel. Astounding golden ale.
