Bottle from Cooperative Supermarket, Ashurst. Golden in colour and pours with a thick frothy head. It has a hint of fruit but this brew is mostly bitter, therefore a fruited bitterness is found.

500ml bottle from Bitter Virtue: BB 5th May 2024. Drank on the balcony of my cabin while at sea on Britannia, 12th June 2022. Slight haze to my golden pour, as I allowed some sediment to leave the bottle. Light citrus front to the nose and initial taste, the malts coming through with a sweetness early too. The finish was a harsh hop bitterness and it all seemed a bit 'underwhelming' and 'green'. Maybe I should have aged the beer a year or so to let it mature a while.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Standard malts and boiled veg aroma. Clear copper gold. Thin frothy translucent white head. Medium bitter with a tart citrus edge. Underlying sugary sweetness then appears. Light. Thin. Verging on watery. Average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Basic Gold. An insult to whatshername.
