30th May 2022; Shrewsbury Beer Share Evening in Chez Sophie. Five guys enjoying themselves. Cheers Mat for the 375ml bottle of this (BB 2019?). Hazy golden body, white topping. Wild, semi-sour feel to this one, not like any other 'Barley Wine' I can remember ever having at all.

375ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May 22. Brought by me, bought at Harbour Brewery. Misty gold pour with a good pure white head. Aroma is fruity sweet with noticeable brett. Taste presents a fruity brett feel, the sweetness bolstered by the 9.5% strength. Doesn't bare any resemblance to a barley wine whatsoever, but definitely very tasty for what it is.

Bottle at home. Pours deep orange, nose is barnyard funk, almond, toffee, pine, taste is brett funk, juicy fruit, sweet. Not sure this is a barley wine.
