Cask at Rising Sun, Great Bridge (or Tipton as per Places index). Pours golden yellow with a small foamy off-white head. There’s malts and traces of summer fruits in the aroma. Sweet malts again to the fore in the mouth, but with some underlying bitterness and honey catching the taste buds too. After awhile a mix of hops can be detected too, and later still some hints of apples. Sweetness lasts into a slightly dry finish. This is OK, but a bit bland.

Hand-pulled pint on 19th October 2023, Railway Tavern, Newport Shropshire. Light golden body, clean and clear, good solid white crown. Citrus front to the nose and taste, some malt action for a hint of sweetness, but the hops rule this brew.

Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Post Office Vaults. Spotty lacing from a clear amber coloured body, clingy lacing. Moderate grassy hops and pale malts on the nose. Ripe hop fruity flavours, pale malts, and a backdrop of leafy hop bitterness to the ending. Decent. (Birmingham, 14.02.2023).

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2021 - Hackney. Pours crystal clear yellow with a frothy, white head. Lovely drop this, moderate sweetness, clean straw, lemon, biscuits, nips of pine. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Balanced finish, fresh citrusy hops, mild rindy bitterness, a little straw and biscuity pale malts. Highly drinkable.
