A classy pale ale using East Kent Goldings in a modern way, little throughout the boil, leaning heavily on the whirlpool and dry hop additions. Unusual use of this noble hop, for a sessionable easy South East inspired beer.

Clear dark gold with a nice white covering. Malty, somewhat biscuity with light floral and spicy hop. Taste follows with honey, maybe a slight fruit hint. Slick light+ body, mild dryness. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Not a modern craft pale ale as expected but I should have known this from the hop being used. It's a golden ale in reality and a pleasant but unassuming one at best.

Can from Beer 52, drank at home. Pour a golden amber with a small off-white head. The aroma has an oily resinous feel, alongside some mslts. In the mouth it is quite bitter with pine and juicy sweetness and some pepperiness underneath. It feels like there should be hops in there too, but I can’t detect sny. Bitterness lasts intothe finish. This is decent, if a little strange.

330ml can via Beer52: BBE May 2024. Drank at home on 19th September 2023. Slight haze in the amber body, white head. Malty and piney in nature, semi-bitter and semi-sweet. Better than I expected to be honest.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A straw coloured pour with a loose white head; leafy aroma; smooth with a malty body and lots of tea like tannins; then a gentle peppery bitterness. A soft and refreshing pale ale.
