Modern golden ale with a very simple grain bill that lets the heritage malt shine, with a touch of toffee and caramel notes from the Cara Gold malts and traditional hops to add some background flavour. Clear golden yellow in colour, with a medium carbonation level to give this beer a balanced, yet lively palate.

0.33 l can thanks to Višnja 666 who brought it from London, thanks. Unclear golden, small off-white head. Aroma is honey and malts, soft cardboard notes. Drinkable, light. Light bitterness. Light toasty notes. Sweetness. Light cardboard throughout.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Pours golden yellow with a small white head. Caramel and biscuits to the fore in the aroma plus some malty traces. In the mouth it is initially sharp and metallic, but soon a sweet jiciness comes to the fore overlaying bitterness of old school hops plus fairly high carbonation. Bitterness increases in the dry finish. Not bad after an unpromising start. I would call this a lager, not a pale ale though.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy pale amber pour with a loose white head; malty aroma; fruity malt taste; with some fruity sourness to finish. Different.

330ml can via Beer52: BBE January 2025. Drank in Devon while house and dog sitting on 22nd August 2023. Lager like look, golden and clean, white head. Slight malty lead in the aroma and taste, caramel hints before the hops kicked in, I actually thought this OK.
