A collaboration with The White Hag, and the ultimate biscuity Brown Ale, this beer takes inspiration from perfectly caramelised cookies - so it's gently spiced and packed full of speciality roasted malts for depth of flavour. Moreish sweetness is balanced by carefully selected hops.

Can from Beer52's Siren 10th anniversary box. Pours a dark mahogany with small beige head. Aroma of toasted malts, biscuit nuts, chocolate - inviting. Its malty, biscuity, with some chocolate, coffee and is that cinnamon or nutmeg (always get those mixed up)? Near medium bodied, drying toasty finish. Very tasty.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small transient cream head. The aroma is mainly biscuits and caramel with hints of chocolate. In the mouth the instant flavour is cola, followed closely by sweet sugaryness. Some hops and a hint of ginger come through later. Finish is sticky and sugary and lets the side down. It’s reasonable but nothing to write home about.

[33cl can from Beer52's box for Siren's 10th anniversary.] A flat, cola brown coloured pour with a fast fading beige head; aroma of chocolate Bourbon biscuits; rather thin body with a malty biscuit taste and a light hedgerow hop bitterness; then some chocolate and caramel to finish. Very drinkable.
