Take a complex combo of all the dark malts you love, giving a chocolaty, sweet, fruity and slightly roasted aroma and taste. Then add to that a bonkers amount of toasted coconut. Finally age that in freshly emptied Kentucky rye whiskey barrels. Creamy!
In 2005 or 2006, we tried to brew the strongest beer we could. That beer was a 16% imperial stout and never saw the light of day. Fast forward to 2021, and we wanted to reconnect with that ambition of extra everything, and the mega-series was born. Big 15% adjunct stouts. Because more is more.
One of those stouts was Coco Coconut. It was like a liquid Bounty candy bar. Coconut from here to there. We took some of that beer and aged it in two different types of barrels, Kentucky Rye Whisky and Martinique Rhum Agricole, resulting in Coconut Beam and Coconut Cream. Can a candy bar become more candy? Yes, it seems. Coco-bello!

500ml can. Pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma of coconut, chocolate, bourbon, nice barrel presence. Taste is very rich, loads of coconut, loads of chocolate, plenty of bourbon and oaky barrel, very sweet, warming booze. Full bodied, smooth, creamy. Insane. 500mls of 16.3% is absurd but this beer is so good I really can't complain, and honestly the booze is pretty well integrated all things considered.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenny, 16/12/23. Black with a thin tan head that soon vanishes. Nose is big on coconut fudge, dark malts, molasses, brown sugar melt, toffee, light roast, modest barrel. Taste comprises dark chocolate Bounty Bar, spice, molasses, coconut shavings, whisky bang, dark malts. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Fun BA impy ... big coconut presence ... just a touch on the sweet side for my liking but cruises past a 4 score none the less.

26th November 2023 Can. Opaque dark brown black beer, good dark tan head but its gone in a jiffy. Airy palate, mildly dry, good fine carbonation. The nose is a heady mix of bourbon and coconut. Smooth rich dark malts, plenty of dark chocolate and dark chocolate dark malt cream. Dark chocolate Malteasers. Coconut cream runs throughout and integrates rather nicely! Bourbon? Rather! Big fruity bourbon, pretty spicy, as in boozy spicy. Smooth and mildy viscous finish finds even more boozy spice. Wow! Take a sweet modern Pastry Impy and show it to a big fresh bourbon barrel and this is what you get, massively bourbon wrestling the pastry in to a submission headlock. It's rather a nice match to watch. And drink!

Tog en surprise burk ur kylen. Blev tydligen en redigt fet imp stout. Jag tar en klunk och emedelbart känns choklad och spritfatlagring sen efter en sekund dundrar stoooor ja stoor mängd 🥥 🌴 🥥 in i bilden. Ja tycker du om kokos lite sådär bara. Ja då är detta ingen öl för dig. Är du däremot medlem i Bounty föreningens vänner . Då älskar du denna Stout. Kolsyran perfekt den agerar som en lätt bubblig kräm i munnen . God extrem öl. Men fasen inga toppbetyg här inte
