Our brewers in Portland got together with our homies at Wayfinder Beer to create this stellar Helles. Naturally carbonated through a method called "spunding," this lager is beautifully bright and effervescent, with subtle hints of toasted bread and honey. Ridiculously drinkable and balanced, Abaddon was brewed with German malts and hopped with Perle and Hallertau Mittlefruh to give it an expressive take on a traditional style.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Modern Times, Portland. A collaboration between what is quickly becoming two of my favorite stops when visiting the area, so I was very much looking forward to this one. Didn't disappoint either. Not a style I would expect a collaboration brew to be either, so this beer is a fun try on multiple levels. Golden pour, bright in color, moderate haze. Tons of foaming head, and it lasts. Soaked grain on the nose. Nice cracker grain flavor, with a flavor that really hangs on. Refreshing lager, without being too watery, and it's far from boring. Has IPL like/amount of flavor going on. Quite a delicious brew here, that I hope will be back around beyond this initial release. I think I'd like another!

Keg at Modern Times San Diego. Pours clear gold with a frothy, pure white head. Great stuff, lots of crispy biscuits, straw, grass, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish, with vibrant biscuity character, quite soft bitter straw. Excellent. Super drinkable.
